SOSI was incorporated on November 15, 1999, and is a registered non-profit organization (Charitable Registration No. 86502 4772 RR0001).

SOSI Inc. invites anyone at least 18 years old and a teacher, teacher trainee or parent affiliated with the Suzuki method now or in the past to become a member. The annual fee is $10 (for printing and mailing). Members receive an annual newsletter with advance notice of Institute plans, as well as an invitation to attend the Annual General Meeting or vote by proxy.
