Complete the enclosed application form and forward with the registration fee. A complete invoice and additional information will be sent to you after we get your application. Early application, particularly for Teacher Development courses, is strongly recommended, as courses will be offered only if there is sufficient enrollment. A class may be cancelled if not enough people are enrolled by June 1.

There is a catch: You still have to mail us a cheque for your fees. You will be registered only after we receive your cheque.
Anyone can observe the student classes at SOSI. Parents of registered students may observe any of the student classes for free. For others, the observer fee is $30 CDN ($26 US) for the week or $15 CDN ($13 US) per day.
A Suzuki teacher who has one or more students attending the Institute will be granted free Observer status. Observers may not attend Teacher Development classes.
SOSI is a non-profit, charitable organization. For $10 CDN or US per year, you can be a member of SOSI Inc. You will receive our yearly newsletter and may vote at our Annual General Meeting. Get advance information of our plans for the upcoming year and have a say in the future of our Institute. It’s easy to joinjust check the option on your Registration Form.
Since SOSI received charitable status, the Board has been considering ways to raise money to ensure the future of the institute through the SOSI Endowment Fund launched at the 2002 institute.The income from this fund, as it grows over the years, will help ensure an enhanced, sustainable program in the coming decades. It can be used to fund new projects or guarantee the survival of existing ones such as the Teacher Development Program or the Young Artist Program.

The registration fee is non-refundable. Tuition fee refunds will be made up to June 1, 2008 on request. After June 1, partial refunds will be considered under exceptional circumstances only.
Tuition fees are due in full by June 1, 2008. If all your fees are paid by the Early Bird deadline of May 1, 2008, you will be entered into our Early Bird Draw for a refund of Half of One Tuition Fee! There will be one winner. (NOTE: No classes will be scheduled for any participant who has not paid all fees in full.)
A limited number of $150 bursaries are available for reduced SOSI tuition fees. They are intended to assist dedicated students who would like to attend SOSI but who require financial assistance. There is an early application deadline of May 1, 2008.
Please send a short letter of recommendation by the student’s individual Suzuki teacher (the letter should describe the family’s financial limitations, and dedication to Suzuki lessons) with your regular Student Application form. No registration fee should be sent. If the bursary is awarded, it will be applied toward the registration fee and part of the tuition fee. The names of those receiving bursaries will be strictly confidential. Applying students who do not receive a bursary may withdraw their application without penalty.
You may make a contribution to the SOSI Bursary Fund with your Student Application. Canadian tax receipt issued for donations of $10 or more.
