To celebrate our 25th year, students up to age 18 were invited to design the SOSI T-shirt for this summer.
The winning designer was 12-year-old pianist Danielle D’Souza from Barrie, Ontario. She will receive a free T-shirt for him/herself and family members attending SOSI 2008.
BBQ in the Quadrangle followed by the free Barn Dance in the Science Building Atrium.
Cost of BBQ: $13.75 (including tax) for adults and $10.25 (including tax) for youth (age 512). Children under age 5 are free. This includes hamburgers and hotdogs, 2 salads, drinks, and dessert.

Celebration Banquet. The evening will include a slide show, silent auction, music, speeches and lots of fun for everyone!
Buffet style banquet with cash bar. Open to parents and home teachers at a cost of $24/person (tax included). Location: Senate Board Chambers.

Celebration Faculty Recital. This year's Faculty Recital will be an event not to be missed! Featured performers will include the Penderecki String Quartet (violinists Jerzy Kaplanek & Jeremy Bell, violist Christine Vlajk, & cellist Simon Fryer) as well as a piano trio made up of Jerzy Kaplanek, Paul Pulford and Anya Alexeyev. All of these artists are professors at Wilfrid Laurier University. In addition, the SOSI Faculty Orchestra will perform the first movement of Ernest Bloch's Concerto Grosso for piano and orchestra with Ken Gee on piano and Paul Pulford conducting. The program will be rounded out by several solo performances from our fine faculty.

Honour Your Teacher and Donate to the SOSI Bursary Fund.
This year, you can make a special donation to our bursary fund in honour of your teacher. You can specify if you would like your money to go towards a student bursary or a teacher bursary. SOSI will send a letter to your teacher to let him/her know that you have made a donation in his/her honour. Donation amounts will remain confidential.
