3. TEACHER DEVELOPMENT REQUIREMENTS Please visit the SAA website (see below) for current SAA requirements.

A videotape audition must be sent to the SAA for approval in order to register as a Participant for most “Unit” classes (this only needs to be done once; previously approved tapes are still valid).

The following applies to SOSI 2008 courses:
  • ECC, Joy of Music Reading: No prerequisites.
  • More Tasty Morsels: Any cellist may attend.

IMPORTANT NOTES: If you register and take the course as a Partipant with SAA approval of your videotape audition pending, there will be no refund of fees in the event that you later only receive Auditor status.

You must be a current active member of the SAA to take part in any of our TD courses either as a participant or an auditor, except for the ECC course.

There are absolutely no refunds for Teacher Development course fees after June 1, 2008 unless the course is cancelled.
